MOS 14D HAWK Missile System Crewmember

The HAWK missile system crewmember supervises or serves as a member of a command and acquisition, missile resupply, radar firing and fire control section. Performs operator maintenance on the HAWK fire control section, missile launching and storage areas, and supervises or performs ADA operations and intelligence functions. Duties for MOS 14D at each skill level are:

a. Major duties.

(1) MOSC 14D1O. Operates, adjusts, and performs operator
maintenance on assigned equipment. Performs as a crewmember
during march order and emplacement of HAWK and associated
equipment. Performs operation and intelligence functions. Establishes and maintains radio and wire communications.

(2) MOSC 14D2O. Performs duties in preceding skill level, supervises
lower grade soldiers and provides technical guidance to the
soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Collects, consolidates
and processes operations and intelligence information.

(3) MOSC 14D3O. Performs duties in preceding skill levels, supervises
lower grade soldiers and provides technical guidance to the
soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Supervises and participates
in unit level training and training management. Assists in
the establishment and operation of command posts and operation
centers. Supervises unit ADA operations and operator maintenance
of associated equipment.

(4) MOSC 14D4O. Perform duties in preceding skill levels, supervises
lower grade soldiers and provides technical guidance to the
soldiers in the accomplishment of their duties. Conducts platoon/
section reconnaissance, selection, and occupation of position
(RSOP). Performs and supervises the operation of ADA battle management
centers and elements. Performs operations, intelligence and
training functions.

b. Physical demands rating and qualifications for initial award of MOS.

HAWK missile crewmembers must possess the following qualifications:

(1) A physical demands rating of very heavy.
(2) A physical profile of 222221.
(3) Color discrimination of red/green.
(4) A minimum score of 100 in aptitude area OF.
(5) A security clearance of SECRET.
(6) Formal training (completion of MOS 14D course conducted under auspices of U.S. Army ADA School) mandatory.
(7) A U.S. citizen.

c. Additional skill identifiers.

(1) P5-Master Fitness Trainer.
(2) 2S-Battle Staff Operations (skill level 3 and above).
(3) 4A-Reclassification Training.

d. Physical requirements and standards of grade.
