MOS 63Z Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor
The mechanical maintenance supervisor supervises, plans, coordinates, and directs the unit, direct support and general support (DS/GS) maintenance of all mechanical equipment.
a. Major duties.
(1) Serving as principal maintenance or operations NCO in maintenance
battalion or higher level organization.
(2) Supervising personnel performing the duties of-
(a) Machinist (44E4O).
(b) Armament/fire control maintenance supervisor (45Z4O).
(c) Construction equipment repairer (62B4O).
(d) Track vehicle repairer (63H4O).
b. Physical demands rating and qualifications for initial award of MOS.
Mechanical maintenance supervisors (63Z5O) must possess the following qualifications:
(1) Physical demands rating-N/A.
(2) A physical profile of 323232.
(3) Minimum score in aptitude area-N/A.
(4) Must hold MOS 44E, 45Z, 52X, 62B, or 63H prior to award of MOS 63Z (MSG).
(5) Must hold MOS 63B, 63D, 63E, 63N, 63T, or 63Z (MSG) prior to award of MOS 63Z (SGM).
c. Additional skill identifiers.
(1) P5-Master Fitness Trainer.
(2) 2S-Battle Staff Operations (skill level 3 and above).
(3) 4A-Reclassification Training.
d. Physical requirements and standards of grade.
